1st Bedford Cub Pack - Orientation - Which Direction to Fun?

1st Bedford "B" Cub Pack – Regular meeting (Bedford United Church) and Parent Meeting

Hello Everyone.

Last week we had a great evening introducing the boys and girls to the history of cubbing, the leaders names from the Jungle book and taught them the Grand Howl. The tenderpads are well on their way to becoming full fledged members of the pack.

Tonight (Tuesday) will be our first regular Pack meeting. The official start of the meeting – the opening ceremony – does not begin until 6:15, but please drop your Cub off any time between 6:00 and 6:15 so we can set up the equipment and play a quick gathering game. Please do not drop your Cub off before 6:00 p.m. We'll wrap up and clean up between 7:25 and 7:30, so please be available to pick your Cub up at that time.

Our theme this week - Orientation - Which Direction for Fun?

Cubs will begin the meeting in the hall with the Traditional Grand Howl and then will proceed to 2 different activities.

PARENT MEETING Parents are invited to a parent orientation to the 1st Bedford Cub Pack to be held in the Hall from 6:30 until 7:00.  It will be a short presentation and a question and answer period.

Please note that Scouts Canada policy requires at least two leaders to be present before you leave your child in our custody. It's therefore important for parents to pop into the hall to make sure that we're there before driving off. Parents are also welcome to stay for our meetings and other outdoor activities.

We will be sending out a schedule for the fall activities this week so that you can make plans. Our program is regularly Tuesday nights but we also run weekend activities.

I will also be sending out a weekly reminder like this one for the upcoming meeting or event. I apologize for the late notice of this one. Still getting my feet wet as Akela.

Reminders/Announcements:
What to bring:

Cubs should wear their full uniforms to our regular meetings and bring along a Ziploc bag clearly marked with their name and containing the following:
1. Weekly dues to $2
2. The Cub Book (if they have it).
3. Pencil
