As you may know, the 1st Bedford Scout Group has a float in the parade of lights. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers will ride on the float. Due to the size, only a certain number of cubs can ride on the float. The pack leadership group determined that cubs will be selected to ride by a simple draw of names. The following cubs are invited to ride on the float:

Kevin Donnellly

Kellen Power

John Gibson

Thomas Legge

Ryan Clark

Ayrton Sanders

If you are unavailable to ride on the float, don't want to ride on the float or have already been on the float in previous years, please email me at work

The only stipulation of riding is that after the end of the parade, the cubs who rode on the float and their parent will return to Havill Homes (Rocky Lake Road) and help to dismantle the float (usually takes ~1hr). Cubs and parents will have to provide their own transporation to Havill Homes.

The details for the parade night are as follows:

• Arrive at Bedford Superstore between 5:15 and 5:30 pm Sunday Night. The parade starts ~ 6pm
• Youth pick-up is in DeWolfe Park ~ 8 pm.
• There may be a second Scout float (Representing the Halifax Area) in the parade, so make sure that you are at the 1st Bedford float before your parents leave you.

What to bring/wear:

• Dress for cold conditions ((High of 5c on Sunday)
• Campfire Blanket
• Camp Chair
• Wear your necker.
• Smile
