Pack Meeting - Night Hike in the Bedford Urban Ecosystem

Good Morning Pack,

After weeks of being trapped on Brownsea Island with Pirates and the like and last week learning to behave like animals (really wild animals I was told!), tonight we are getting out of the Hall and exploring our ecosystem.

As a pack we are working on our World Conservation Badge.

It's a really cool one with a panda on it!

Tonight we are going on a night hike of the urban ecosystem of Bedford and learn the similarities and differences between nature in the city and nature in the woods.  Parents are invited to get some fresh air with us if they wish.

Sixes will be resonsible for keeping a record of things we see and learn.  Notebooks will be provided.  Pens will not.

The hike will start at 6:20 sharp so don't be late.  Dress for the weather.  Bring a flashlight.  Cub books not required.

Pick up from the hike will NOT be at Bedford United.  It will be at Fish Hatchery Park/Cenotaph accessed off of Shore Drive.

Pick up will be at 7:30.

In the event of emergency Akela's cell phone is 489-6304.

Please note that Scouts Canada policy requires at least two leaders to be present before you leave your child in our custody. It's therefore important for parents to pop into the hall to make sure that we're there before driving off. Parents are also welcome to stay for our meetings and other outdoor activities.
