I am an only-parent Dad of a very active 9-year-old Cub. My scouting background, which included Cubs, Scouts, and Venturers, has provided me with the outdoor skills to thrive during two university summers of prospecting jobs, working for mining companies, at fly-in locations in Eastern Quebec, and remote locations in Nova Scotia, and Nothern New Brunswick. My Venturer experience saw our Company experiment with CoEd meetings with a local Ranger company, something we take for granted today, but ground breaking in its day.

I look forward to helping pass on a respect for the outdoors to the Cubs, something too few youth are challenged with in our hi-tech living. As a personal benefit, I am becoming reaquainted with the love of scouting.
