All-Sections Camp Wind-up - Great weather and a great attitude made this a camp of many successes and memories.
- Note to parents of 1st year Scouts: All the youth have completed their "permit" work that gives them training to begin to undertake such camp skills as lighting fires, using a knife, using a camp stove/lantern, or using an axe or saw. The leadership team did their best to introduce the skills required to safely execute these camp skills. CAVIET: We did not give them permission to practice these skills at any time while unsupervised. They have only been introduced to these skills. Like any other newly acquired skill they now need opportunities to practice these skills. Please encourage your youth to practice safely with your supervision.
- Gear care and maintenance: If your Scout has brought a tent home, please dry it fully and repack it. I would like to have all tents returned to me at the meeting this Tuesday.
- Thanks to everyone that volunteered at this camp. Especially: Scouter Patricia, Scouter Rick, Scouter Terry, and Parent Doug Gallant.
- Congradulations to each newly invested Pioneer Scout.
Yours in Scouting,
Scouter Al
