A Well Equipped Survival Kit

See the attached article from 1st Bedfords Bob Loney for a list of supplies for a well equipped survival kit.
A couple of useful additions would include a flashlight with extra batteries, a good length of light rope or parachute (nylon) cord and some fire starter materials in a waterporoof bag. Fire starting materials could include some birchbark, cotton balls, or even dryer lint.
A large sized coffee tin with a plastic lid is great to pack everything in and it can also be used as a drinking vessel or for boiling water.
