John Henderson is a Troop Counsellor who transferred to 1st Bedford Scouts in 2010 from Tri County Area. 2010 is his seventh year as a Scouter and his fourth year with Troop after serving 3 years as a leader with Cub Scouts at 1st Milford. John was involved in Scouting as a youth in Sydney, Nova Scotia (4th Sydney - Cubs and Scouts).
 
His favourite outdoor activities include camping, hiking, biking and geocaching. He has volunteered and participated in various Area and Provincial events including 4 years at Operation Alert, Port Morien 100th Anniversary Camp and Scotiajamb 09. He is looking forward to his first Canadian Jamboree in 2013. He also has a nephew in Cub Scouts at 1st Bedford and is the brother of Cub Leader Paul Henderson (Rikki Tiki Tavi).
 
John is a Professional Engineer who works on environmental projects for a global engineering firm and has 4 children.
